About DB Education

 

DB Education Services Ltd is a leading provider of Learning Platforms for the UK Schools market and a supplier of software products to the Education and Local Authority market.

 

All products are designed and written from our base in Brighton, the UK’s leading e-learning city.

 

DB designed the UK’s first large scale Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), for London Grid for Learning (LGfL) in 2001 and continues to use its vast accumulated experience to design new platform tools.

 

In 2006, DB launched a specialist Primary School Platform, named Starz, for Cambridgeshire LA.

 

In 2008, after extensive consultation with teachers, DB followed this up with the UK’s first Learning Platform specifically designed for Primary Schools, DB Primary. This Platform continues to evolve entirely along the lines required by our customers.

 

DB Education is the official VLE supplier to LGfL and the official supplier of Learning Platforms to the East of England Broadband Consortium (E2BN) as well as to a number of Local Authorities and Schools across England and Wales.

 

We believe that young children should have a learning space that is simple to use, requires little or no training, aimed solely at their age group and allows them to readily engage. We believe that Primary Schools should select the Platform that is best for their needs only.
